Island Arts drawing groups last week went to Yung Shu Wan to a sea food restaurant to draw the fish in the tanks for our next piece of work.
We are going to learn about watercolour paint and paper and create a painting based on our sketches at the restaurant.
What fun we all had and thanks to the restaurant owners for letting us sketch the beautiful fish.
In November last year I started a group of art lessons for the kids here on Lamma Island, Island Arts, held in a lovely space called Banyan House School which is a Waldorf Kindergarten by day. We meet at the end of a school day and they enjoy this time to draw or paint real objects from observation.
Here the group are tackling the complexities of a still life. The standard of drawing is getting really good!
